The Seagulls:
The photo captures a tranquil sunrise over the sea, where soft hues of pink and light orange gently color the sky and reflect on the calm water. A sea beacon stands in the foreground, its structure silhouetted against the gentle colors of the dawn. A seagull is captured in mid-flight, gracefully gliding towards the beacon, adding a dynamic touch to the tranquil scene.
The overall image exudes a sense of calm and quiet beauty, with the beacon standing as a solitary guardian in the morning light.

The technique :
The calming nature of this photo is achieved by slighty overexposing the shot, allowing for less intense colors and a more balanced picture.

The Cormorant

This picture captures the great cormorant spreading its wings in a beautiful sunset. Thanks to an intense fog, the colors of the sunset spread beautifully into the whole scene, creating a dreamy and almost surreal atmosphere. The cormorant's dark silhouette stands out against the backdrop, its wings fully extended as if embracing the warmth of the fading sun, adding a mystical quality to the image.

The technique :
This photo took my about 3 month to fully edit until I was truely satisfied with the result. When taking the picture, I purposefully underexposed the image, enhancing to deep colors of the scene. I then adjusted the balance between the red shadows and the more orange highlights, creating this final result.

Morning bloom

I took this photo the same day I want to photograph the marmots in the blooming mountain roses. The soft moring light just came out behind the mountains and shined beautifully on the roses. To my suprise, there was a little bird sitting in the blooming bushes, enjoying the rising morning sun.  After doing my usual paparazi stuff, I took in a few moments with this little guy, just enjoying the mountains together !

The technique:
A bright aperture allows for a dreamy background, but one must also consider the drawbacks of such an aperture : the thin depth of field and loss of texture in the out of focus backgrounds isolates the subject from the nature surrounding him.
For me, the subjects doesn't really matter but the true beauty of a photo comes from it's attemps to capture the mesmerising beauty of nature.

The Bearded vulture
Flying at glacier altitude, with it's more than 3 meters long wingspan, this is probably one of the most impressive yet beautifull bird I have encountered.
These vultures are known for there quite peculiar diet, consisting exclusivly of bones, which it swallows whole or drops from great altitude to break them appart !

The Capercaillie
This was a truely surprising encounter !
I was on my way early moring (as usual because that is when you get the best light) to photograph some ibexes up high in the mountains. When I climbed on a steep rocky slope, I suddenly came across a capercaillie couple. When our eye sights met, I could tell that the little capercaillie was just as surprised as I was !
Although i must have been terrorising for the little bird, it just ran a few meter away and beautifully posed in front of the cliff. I was astonished as how well the capercaillie blended in with its environment, its plumage sharing the same colors as the rocks it lives on !

I left one of the pictures in it's best resolution for you to appreciate the beauty of the little animal ! I am fascinated by its glowing red pupill and the hypnotizing patterns of its plumage !
